The Jive Inspector

Mashup dirty electro recorded in a Thai Monastery, with lyrics written by the Abbot. Word!!

The Jive Inspector, AKA Ali Hurrell AKA Greasy Priest, Val, Vag-raider. Came from the South West of England, Taunton. He started off his music making as a choirboy and ended up writing distorted dirty Buddhist electronica, in a Monastery in Thailand (Thamkrabok).

He loved drumming and rinsing out the beats and bass with the aid of Cubase and all the rest. After his Choral years, he got into mixing records when Old Skool was 'New Skool' in the early 90's.

He loved partying and mixing wherever possible. After the interest in turntables, he started producing music he would like to mix. He made varied styles - from the deepest lush ambience to ear bending mashup electro.

Always fresh and intricate. "Every noise is music". He died peacefully in Chiang Mai, Thailand on May 10th 2006. We are releasing his music as a mark of respect to this amazing talent. All profits are going to the charity "East West Detox".
